Wee Boys from Glasgow Don't Cry - On Sale Now!
Foreword by Colin Urquhart

"Anybody who knows Peter Stanway will find this book a fascinating read. He is truly a trophy of God’s grace, saved from a life that on several occasions could have ended prematurely in disaster, and saved for a ministry that would impact the lives of many with the reality of God’s love.
Peter spares us unnecessary details and keeps the narrative moving at break-neck speed – much like his early life, but in a very different way! So your interest will not flag as you are taken from one unlikely scenario to another.
Reading this book demonstrated for me that great truth that when God decides to place His hand on someone’s life, He will ensure that His purpose in doing so will be fulfilled. It is amazing what He will allow someone to go through before plucking them out of the mire and placing them in Christ Jesus. A life that was full of darkness becomes a shining light that can carry the truth to others.
I trust that many who have no hope will read the book, those who feel that they have messed up their lives completely, whether through their own failings or by being the victim of circumstances. This book will surely give them hope and encouragement, for no problem is too great for Jesus Christ to deal with. He gave His life for the hopeless, those who have no self-worth. He alone can make them new.
Those who have known the Lord personally for many years will find this an encouraging read, demonstrating that there is always more to reach out to receive from our Lord, more that He wants to impart to us and more that He wants to do with us for His glory.
All who read this book will surely join with Peter in saying: “Thank you, Lord, for your love, your mercy and your grace!”"

New Age Deception Review

"Peter Stanway demonstrates what the phrase "working for the Lord" means. The Way Christian Ministries is a pioneering ministry that "is intent on fulfilling the Great Commission by making disciples out of Christians." He accomplishes this through several training courses and methods. He is a successful author with yet another book, Who is McKenzie set to be released before Christmas 2011. As Director of European Development with Rev Publishing, he endeavors to add many European authors to the Rev Media portfolio. His television and radio ministries reach viewers and listeners worldwide. His schedule, I am sure, keeps him busy. Yet, there is always time for Stanway to stop and do the one thing he is notorious for; sharing his heart. The latest burden he carries is for the church and the deception that has infiltrated not only non-believers with New Age ideas, but of late, believers. It concerns Stanway that half-truths are embraced as accepted ideologies. Where as at one time this doctrine ran parallel to the church, it has intersected, causing division by deception. In his latest book, New Age Deception, Stanway blows the whistle on theologies and the ministers that teach them, and how they have compromised the truth for fear of losing their congregation. He does not expose individuals or even specific churches, yet makes a convincing argument that through the so-called liberating school of self-exploration, mind expansion, sex, drugs and rock and roll, people have found themselves in bondage to a counterfeit freedom.
Stanway is persuaded that believers can reverse the infiltration of the New Age movement with one word: discernment. "Discern in the spirit, do not judge in your mind." His final plea is to the believer, which captures the essence of his burden for the church. "Wake up Christians. This is the way, walk in it. Jesus is the truth, come to him and be free." It is a universal message that is relevant and essential."

The fruit of deception is always division. New Age Deception has begun to invade the Christian church resulting in discord, disunity and division. Without a doubt, the spiritual gift needed most urgently among believers today is that of distinguishing between spirits, or discernment.
How do we avoid deception? We avoid lies and anything to do with the darkness. Satan came as ‘an angel of light’ (2 Corinthians 11:14). He seemed quite attractive. He deceived Eve. He spoke words of doubt into her head and created division in her mind. Out of her deception she tempted Adam and man, conscious of his rebellion, sinned against God......
The world has to dream-up make believe gods and make-believe heavens. It is our high calling, as true Christians, to attract those in darkness into His marvellous light saying, ‘This is the Way, walk in it. Jesus is the Truth, come to Him and be free’.

The McKenzie Chronicles

The McKenzie Chronicles
The weekly McKenzie stories will, in time, become a book. Hopefully, a wide range of people (Christians and non-Christians) from diverse cultures and countries will identify in some way with the central character, McKenzie. Therefore, the implication is that, you or I can empathise with elements and aspects of McKenzie life. As the weeks go by, we will get to know him better….
The McKenzie Commentaries and the Gist
Up until now, the McKenzie stories have been going out under the Gist banner on the Gist page of our website. Strictly speaking they are not Gists, therefore, from now on, an exposition of the scripture verse used in the McKenzie story, like a commentary on that verse, will become the weekly Gist. McKenzie will have his own page on our website. A link from the McKenzie story will take those who want to, into the Gist page and from the Gist page to the McKenzie story. The bridge between the two will be the scripture from the bible that is used in both.

What People Are Saying About Who is McKenzie?

As a book reviewer and editor, I was privileged to have the best in written philosophies at my disposal. I became immersed and consumed with finding out who this mysterious Heavenly Father truly is. Interviewing a diverse group of individuals and hearing their personal stories for my radio broadcast has also helped to unwrap the great mystery. And, on occasion, my path would intersect with flesh and blood mirror images of who I longed to be-that individual who totally understood who God was apart from legislated rules.
Late one Sunday afternoon in Atlanta, Georgia at the World Congress Center, Peter Stanway and I crossed paths. Nothing about his appearance or our initial conversation screamed that our meeting was destiny, but it would prove to be. After getting to know Peter over the course of several days during The International Christian Retail Show, it was obvious that just by knowing him, any faith crisis that remained, would soon become nonexistent. He beamed with a passion that was bigger than any room he stepped into. He has a palpable compassion for people that are lost in a maze of questions that never seem to get resolved. Although a gifted minister, I believe him to be a 21st century healer.
When Jesus performed miracles, opening deaf ears and blind eyes was only part of his ministry. There was always a deeper meaning of reconciliation with society and with God our Father at work. Peter’s ministry is much the same. He is driven to remove the errors in religious thinking and restore our relationship with God.

‘McKenzie is profound! I am moved to tears at several points, not because the action is emotional, but rather the content and questions and his wonderings resound in all of us. This is from God, I am so sure of it. For those that want to know Him and bypass the doctrinal sludge that tends to weigh us down, McKenzie is perfect.’ Mary Nichelson Blogger and Reviewer - USA
Review for Who is McKenzie?
Several years ago, I made a conscious decision to wipe the invisible religious slate clean and start from scratch. As the daughter of a minister, I began questioning some of the doctrines associated with our church. I had religious answers burned into my mind, but I didn’t want that kind of experience. I was searching for an experience that was authentic and came from within. I didn’t want to act and react due to head knowledge, but out of a driving passion from my heart.
As you read of McKenzie’s adventures, don’t be surprised if some of his wonderings and emotional struggles look familiar. That is because McKenzie is each of us, wrapped in a different outer shell, but tormented by the same spiritual issues we all deal with. Without having to dress in your Sunday best, fight traffic, race for your favorite pew in your own synagogue, it is possible to hear the truth in a non-confrontational but personal way. It is conceivable to settle our own questions by voyeuristically shadowing McKenzie and learning as he learns. It is probable that you will wipe a tear or two from your cheek as the realization of the depth, yet simplicity of His love, finally comes to rest within you. There is no greater sermon or more profound message to be shared except that He is real and always obtainable. No religious doctrine necessary.
Several years ago, a military drama premiered on silver screens across the world in which one line has become notorious for making the movie. In the famous courtroom scene, a lawyer slams his fist on the table while yelling at the defendant, “I want the truth.” In much the same way, I see believers around the world slamming their spiritual fist on a table demanding to know the truth. I know because I was one of them. I grew up in church but failed to know, really know, God. It is my prayer that as you read Who Is McKenzie?, your eyes will be opened, the truth revealed, and for the impact of that truth to reach forward into generations to come. Whether you need to wipe your slate clean as I did, or to hear the message for the first time, I believe Peter will profoundly affect the way you view God. For those that want to know Him and bypass the doctrinal sludge that tends to weigh us down, McKenzie is perfect.

Creativity

My second book, ‘Who is McKenzie?’ is now available. To find out all about the books I have written, am working on and to read my free book, ‘New Age Deception’ please visit this site: http://www.peterstanwaybooks.com/
Over the recent years a strong creative element has emerged in the work of TheWayCM and now contemporary art work is an element that is growing. This is as it should be as ‘Creativity’ is one of the five elements in our Training for Life course (TFL): http://www.thewaycm.com/tfl.html
You may remember that my personal history is one of being an artist and photographer. This year, in October 2012, I will be exhibiting my art work in Granada, Spain and from there the exhibition is expected to travel to other cities and countries.
The exhibitions will be multimedia ‘events’ and will provide me with a platform to glorify the Lord. My last exhibitions in Spain were some twenty years ago and were called ‘Journeys’. These new exhibitions will be called ‘Journeys 2’ and will follow, in the main, my spiritual and physical journey with the Lord over the past twenty years.
You will hear more about this in the months ahead, however, if you have any questions now, please contact me at: http://peterstanwayphotography.weebly.com/contact-me.html
Out NOW! Our Unique Christian Discipleship Course

McKenzie’s Companion provides illuminating and life-changing insight into the word of God; nuggets of short, succinct, easy to apply principles into what it means to be a disciple of Jesus.
McKenzie’s Companion, comes packaged with Who is McKenzie? Read together, this unique devotional course will give you a deeper insight into how scripture is applied in an everyday context.
McKenzie’s Companion will enrich and nourish your life by the power of God’s word and the Holy Spirit working together to lead you into a closer walk with Jesus….
McKenzie’s Companion (A Life Changing Journey with Jesus) is a collection of short, easy to read devotionals that can be read by Christians for personal edification or by curious non-Christians as an exploration of selected scriptures from the bible. Read together, the reader will discover the scriptural context of McKenzie’s scenarios and, hopefully, through that, will see how Jesus Christ can be relevant, if not essential, in their own lives.
Group or Individual Study
The chapters of both McKenzie books relate to each other; chapter one lines up with chapter one, chapter two with chapter two….and so on, in each book.
I have placed the three questions on a fresh page after each short devotional in McKenzie’s Companion (A Life Changing Journey with Jesus) leaving about one-third of the page blank under each question for the answers. In this way, the book will also become the workbook for group or individual study. There are some blank pages around the middle of the book for personal notes.
With fifty chapters, at one per week, the ‘course’ will take a year to complete (allowing for two weeks off).

I am a Bachelor!

Today I received the good news that, it’s official, I am a bachelor! Don’t panic, Nancy and I are still very happily married. Please read on….
Earlier this year (2012), Rev Denis Plant, Principal of Vision International College told me, “I am going to get a Bachelor of Ministry Degree for you based on your work founded on having met you and observing your ministry over the years and, in part, seeing the work you have online and the impact that you have.” The degree is accredited through San Diego University, USA.
This degree has been awarded, in the main, for recognition of the Global Training for Life Course and students who do this course can count it, if they wish, as modules towards a degree of their own with Vision International College. Praise God!

Thank you

The work of TheWayCM Pakistan began in 2009 when I (Peter Stanway) went there on mission*. It was an extremely busy time travelling all over Pakistan but most of the ministry took place in and around Multan., the fifth largest city in Pakistan. I ministered forty-five times during fourteen days. The Lord did great things among us and during that time we reached over 4,000 people many of whom were saved and baptised in the Holy Spirit.
Since then, TheWayCM Apostolic Team have established the first ever Christian Bible College in the city of Multan. Many students have been trained as leaders and there are now ten locations around Pakistan reaching up to 150 leaders who, in turn, minister to over 6,000 Christians.
Our plans to develop the Bible College into a Training for Life (TFL) Centre where all five aspects of TFL (read more) will be taught were realised in February 2012. The bible-based spiritual element will remain the foundation for building changed lives; raising-up and releasing Christian leaders in the fullness of the five-fold ministries (Ephesians 4:11-13).
At this moment, Pakistan is not a safe place for foreigners but you can still be part of TheWayCM’s mission work in Pakistan. Your prayers and your financial support will help us to fulfil the vision that God has given TheWayCM for Pakistan.
Please, if at all possible, make a generous donation: http://www.thewaycm.com/donate.html
Thank you.

Global Training for Life - A Recommendation

"I am nearing completion of Semester 3 in the Global Training for Life (GTFL) Course.
Going through the three semesters has not been easy for me. Let me explain….as the Cours has progressed from the first, to the second, and now this third semester, it has, at times, been a personal struggle and caused me to do much soul searching. It has made me to examine my understanding of the various aspects involved on my Christian journey.
The progressive revelation and my resulting growth through the Course far exceeds any cost in terms of time and finance. It is developing within me a treasure which is beyond compare.
This world is in need of true Christians who move prophetically in the power and love of the Holy Spirit. What this Course does is cement over our personal foundations of Christian faith, filling in the cracks, so that we clearly know why we are a Christians.
The Course focuses on our calling. It helps us to understand the gifts and the fruit of the Holy Spirit that equip and enable us to live a Christ-like lifestyle today. The progressive way that the Course is laid out and taught by Rev Peter Stanway is very much God-inspired and is designed to make it clear to us who we are in Christ.
Therefore, I heartily recommend this online GTFL Course to any Christian whose desire is to grow and make a difference in this world. To anyone who feels they are ‘in a rut’ or ‘treading water’ and wants to actively outwork their faith. This Course is for those whose earnest desire is to be like Christ and make an impact for good in their community and ultimately the world.
We have been saved for a purpose and this Course helps us to realise our potential and it helps to get us moving towards our divine destiny. Do consider doing this Course and may God bless you – abundantly."

Kilcreggan House 10 Years Anniversary

Introduction
March 2008 heralded the 11 year anniversary of our time in Kilcreggan House and as we reminisce we are awestruck at what God has done over this time in so many people’s lives. We are also filled with joy at how much we have grown in faith and stature and how The Way Christian Ministries (CM) has developed and changed. Many of you have walked with us and supported us on this wonderful journey while others have joined us over the years. As part of our celebrations we want to look back at what God has done during this time and to share with you where we believe God is taking us next.
The Beginnings
The Way CM (charity) grew out of our ministry with The Way of the Spirit (WOTS in Scotland) and incorporated our work in Drumchapel, Glasgow where I was the Minister of a church in Fellowship with the Assemblies of God (AOG). Drumchapel is an area of social and economic deprivation where many people are trapped in cycles of poverty with associated problems including drug misuse, illiteracy, substandard housing and crime. As we sought to minister in this area many doors and great favour opened to us to enable us to support the local people in very practical ways. This opened people’s heart to us and to the Gospel and as they found faith in Christ the need not only to be discipled but also to have other areas of their lives transformed arose. We realised there was a need for a bible training course which was tailor-made to suit our parishioners’ specific needs and the Training for Life programme was born. This programme consisted of 5 elements affecting the body, soul and spirit and as well as intensive spiritual and bible training our trainees also explored their creativity, physical and personal development.

The House on the Rock

It soon became clear that if those whose lives were very disordered were to see real transformation they would need to be free from their patterns of crime and abuse. This was difficult to achieve in their own neighbourhoods and we desired to find a new way for these believers to receive appropriate ministry. As we sought God he gave us a vision for a 70 room country house and then through a series of miracles provided us Kilcreggan House in 1998. Many trainees were ministered to during this period and we sought to instil value and purpose in each person who came to live with us here.
In addition to a six to twelve months bible school and training course our trainees tackled gardening, decorating, work around the house, as well as addressing their literacy, social or pre-employment skills.
Although this period was very challenging as many of the trainees still struggled to be delivered from their old lives of addiction and crime, lives where changed by God’s redeeming power. Additionally the house which was very run down greatly benefited from the hard work these trainees did.
Open and shut doors
After we began this ministry a number of churches heard that Kilcreggan House had reopened and approached us asking if they could use the centre for conferences, retreats, Alpha days and weddings. This opportunity opened a new door for Nancy as she managed the day to day running of the centre and sought to minister to those who came to stay. The work also raised a source of desperately needed income enabling the House to be slowly improved and upgraded. As more and more churches used the centre the focus of the house changed to become a Christian conference centre.
In February 2004 the Lord spoke to me and told me a new phase was opening in our lives and it was time to resign as the Minister of Drumchapel AOG. This was very difficult as I had a great love and compassion for the Drumchapel church family and it took a year for me to let go and move into this new phase. In February 2005, after I had laid down this role God spoke to me again and told me to ‘reproduce the Training for Life model’, which is adaptable to people from all nations and cultures and all walks for life, and the opportunity for me to minister in Nepal arose. Thus a new phase for The Way CM began; of church planting and discipling people in developing countries.
Trainees continued to come to Kilcreggan but in smaller numbers and from our international outreach churches enabling us to focus more specifically on their needs while still caring for our conference guests.

A Place of Peace

Kilcreggan became a source of blessing to many Christians who came to look on it as a second home and a place to hear from God. Most weeks we enjoyed visits from a variety of church groups from all over Scotland who loved their time here with us. Many personal ministry opportunities also arose as individuals and families needing healing and respite came for breaks. We enjoyed seeing our trainees marry people they had met here and other divine connections taking place. One of the most rewarding aspects during this time was seeing new churches birthed here including churches for refugees and asylum seekers such as the IranianChurch in Glasgow.
In 2006 the Lord gave me a new vision for church planting and opened up many new doors to travel internationally. This resulted in a punishing schedule of international travel to every inhabited continent and of watching as the new churches birthed from these visits mushroomed very rapidly. This move of God opened up another new phase where via the Internet I was able to oversee, equip and disciple thousands of new converts and new church plants in developing nations worldwide. During 2007, as the overseas work flourished, the demand for conferences and retreats began to fall away and my health began to suffer so we urgently sought God as to what direction to take in 2008 and beyond. We also realised that Kilcreggan House had reached a stage where extensive modernisation and redevelopment was urgently required to keep it open.
A new way
In order to address all these concerns we sought the advice of our trustees and advisors. We also continued to work with our Christian business advisor with whom we had been exploring a number of avenues for redevelopment of the house and land. Through much heart searching, prayer and seeking God we came to believe that God wants us to downsize our ministry base to a more manageable size. We will continue to focus on working with a small number of international trainees, apostles and pastors who will stay with us for intense training periods. Trainees from developing nations will be trained how to use and access the latest IT technologies and communicate via the internet (on our new website) in order to access training materials and bible based resources. I will also continue to provide pastoral support via email and visits to national apostles in their home countries and to their growing churches.
A smaller ministry centre will free Nancy up to fulfil her desire to minister to our visitors on a more personal and individual level as well as spend more time with our children and grandchildren. She will also have time to support and accompany me on my international ministry trips.
A new day
In June 2004 we fulfilled a lifelong dream to visit the Holy Land and from this trip a desire to facilitate and encourage others to experience this life changing place led to further visits and training to equip us lead excursions to this wonderful country. I am also envisioned to see the creative side of training for life opened up in Scotland and internationally and I desire to see the ‘cathedral vision’ continue to grow. It is our desire to facilitate and encourage the new prophetic worship and creative outpouring which God is doing at this time and this will take place through special conferences and ‘happenings’ and be open to all who wish to participate.

The end of an era

So it is with great sadness that we put Kilcreggan House on the market and wait to see who will buy it. It will be hard to leave a place where we have so many happy memories, made so many friends and enjoyed so much blessing. We will of course continue to honour all our bookings and we also plan to host a farewell party for all those who wish to visit one last time. However, we have a great sense of excitement about what is about to unfold in our lives and look forward to see what God has in store.
The sale of Kilcreggan will release finance for a new base and also enable us to invest into many of the ministry opportunities which have arisen. We will continue to live by faith and seek God to meet our own and the ministries needs.
We hope you will partner with us in looking and praying for a 6 bedroom property in South Ayrshire with a granny flat or annex and enough room to host our visitors in comfort and develop the next phase of our ministry.
New opportunities
As we review the past 11 years we see that our lives have never stood still and that God was always training, equipping and stretching us for the next new thing in our lives. We see the Lord is pruning us to ensure we are focussed on fulfilling our calling. There will be extensive opportunities for many of our partners to be involved in new ways in this next phase both here and on mission, as well as opportunities to come to the Holy Land with us and to be part of the creative weeks or ministry schools here in Scotland. We hope that you will all continue to support The Way CM as we move into this new phase. Thanks to everyone for all you have done for us and with us over the past 11 years, we look forward to sharing what unfolds.
